Unmanned Aerial Vehicles - Homepage
The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or the UAV has evolved from being just an idea to a much concrete, higly useful technology in various fields. Manned missions to potentially dangerous and hazardous environments not only poses threat to loss of machinery but also human life, which is irreplacable. Unmanned Vehicles are in the spotlight for such potentially dangerous missions as losses in case of casualties is accetable. Applications, both for civilian as well as military purposes seem boundless with research interests increasing by the tick of the clock. Whether it is surveillance, imaging, mapping, reconnaisance or communications to name a few, the use of UAVs is growing exponentially.
Here at the UNSW@ADFA campus the UAV group is dedicated to quality research in the field concentrating on surveillance applications and new concept generation. The website provides an overview of various research projects, contacts and other associated details. |
